[GUIDE] How to install Yosemite for free on Mac OS X

Yesterday Apple released OS X Yosemite to the public, in this article we will explain for less experienced users how to install Yosemite for free on Mac OS X of course for free.
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of free hard disk space
Some features require an Apple ID; terms and conditions apply.
Some features require connection to a compatible Internet service provider (fees may apply)
1 Check your hardware.
To know the model of your Mac, click the Apple icon in the upper left of the screen, choose “About this Mac” and click on “More Information”. The Mac OS X compatible with Yosemite are as follows:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, early 2009 or more recent)
MacBook Pro (mid / late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
Mac Pro (early 2008 or newer)
Xserve (Early 2009)
2 Check the version of OS X.
In the “About This Mac”, check which version of OS X is installed on your Mac. Shown below is the serial number. You can do the upgrade to OS X from Yosemite:
OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6.8)
OS X Lion (v10.7)
OS X Mountain Lion (v10.8)
Mavericks OS X (v10.9)

Upgrading from OS X Snow Leopard
If you have Snow Leopard (10.6.x), you must install the latest version before downloading OS X Yosemite from the Mac App Store: Click on the Apple icon and choose “Software Update” to install Snow Leopard 10.6.8, the latest release .
Upgrading from OS X Leopard
If you want to switch to Leopard and OS X Yosemite, you must first install OS X Snow Leopard: You can buy it here.
3 Free download OS X Yosemite.
Skip to Yosemite OS X on the Mac App Store. Click on the download button and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the update. If you do not have access to broadband internet, you can upgrade to an Apple Store.
