Here’s how to install Windows 10 on Mac with Parallels exploiting the simple trial version for 30 days.
If you want to install Windows 10 (read this: How to install Windows 10 on Mac with Parallels) on your Mac, even if only for curiosity and take a look at the new Microsoft operating system on your computer of the apple, without having to buy anything, you know that you can already do it. The first thing to do is sign up for the Windows Insider Program and download Windows 10 Technical Preview and download the file Windows 10 Technical Preview VM shell on your Mac. Never mind that the just cited Parallels 10 must be installed on your computer, double-click on the archive downloaded and unzip files by moving them inside the folder ~ / Documents / Parallels /. Now double click on the file Windows 10 Technical Preview VM shell.pvm. A message will ask you to move or copy the file: click Copy.
NOTE – If your Mac has 4 GB of RAM, Parallels will ask you to decrease the RAM allocated to the virtual machine: Click “no change.”
At this point the screen will start Preboot Execution Environment (PXE): click on the Actions menu in the status bar and click Stop.
Click again on Actions> Configure> Hardware tab> CD / DVD 1 page> Connect to> Choose an image file and select the file you downloaded WindowsTechnicalPreview.iso. Start Windows 10 Technical Preview VM virtual machine shell> Proceed with Windows installation.
When installation is complete, create a user account and log on to Windows 10 Technical Preview Desktop. To install Parallels Tools you must click on the Devices tab> CD / DVD 1> Connect Image … and go fishing the file prl-tools-win.iso that will be in Applications> Parallels Desktop> Contents> Resources> Tools. In the virtual machine select This PC and double click on DVD drive (D 🙂 Parallels Tools> and proceed with the installation of Parallels Tools. When finished, turn off the virtual machine and rename it in the configuration window.
